Receptionist

Professional Services Firm in Nassau County is currently seeking a full time Receptionist. We are looking for candidates that can multi-task, work under pressure and handle calls with a calm and professional demeanor. The hours are Monday- Friday from 8:30am-5:30pm.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Answer phones and route incoming calls to appropriate personnel. Take messages as needed
  • Respond to routine inquiries and provides information about the organization
  • Maintain confidentiality of calls and information
  • Greets and announces clients, visitors and applicants
  • Interacts with all visitors in a courteous and professional manner
  • Assists clients and colleagues as needed
  • Assists with scheduling meetings, preparing conference rooms and order catering as needed
  • Sort, distribute and post mail as required
  • Send out mail and Fed-x
  • Call for a messengers
  • Sign for incoming and outgoing packages; distribute to appropriate party
  • Perform filing, typing and other administrative duties as requested

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree desired
  • Prior experience as a Receptionist or Administrative Assistant required
  • Must possess a professional phone voice, friendly demeanor and exceptional communication skills
  • Experience in Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
  • Willingness and ability to go above and beyond on a regular basis
  • Ability to work overtime required
