Bookkeeper
Janover LLC (www.jrllc.com/) is seeking a full-charge bookkeeper for our office in the Midtown area of NY. We are looking for a bright and organized individual to handle general office administration and bookkeeping for our business management clients as well as payroll and sales tax return preparation and other financial management projects for some clients. There is heavy client contact in this position. Some of the responsibilities include:
- Paying bills and managing cash flow
- Posting AP/Posting AR to QuickBooks
- Payroll
- Posting adjusting Journal Entries
- Reviewing GL, balance sheets, P&L posting
- Bank account reconciliations
- Filing
- Cash Disbursements Accuracy Important
- Credit card postings
- Payroll Tax Returns & Journal entries associated with ADP & Paychex payrolls
- Sales Tax Returns
- Year End write-up, W2 & W3 Prep Including 1099 prep
Qualifications include:
- Proficiency in Excel
- Proficiency in QuickBooks
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to handle multiple clients
- Person needs to be a team player, work well with Partners and peers; positive attitude
- Ideal candidate will have business management or bookkeeping experience at a CPA firm or professional services firm
- Efficiency and accuracy in all areas is important
